Grant County Privacy Notice

This notice describes the information Grant County Busted Mugshots may receive, why it is used, and the limited situations in which it may be shared. It also explains how outside search and advertising services handle data. By continuing to use the site, you accept the practices described here.

Information You Submit

Terms Entered in Search

Names, places, or other terms entered into a search tool are transmitted to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Grant County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy terms control its handling of each query.

Messages Sent to Us

When you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not disclose those messages outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Technical Details Collected

Ordinary server, analytics, and advertising systems may record basic technical details when a page loads. These details can include:

  • Your internet protocol address
  • Browser name and version
  • Device category and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • The referring website, when available
  • Date and time stamps for requests

Cookies and Similar Storage

Cookies help measure site use and support site functions. You can reject or remove cookies through your browser controls. Blocking them may cause some features, including partner tools or preference settings, to work differently.

How Information Is Used

Collected information supports a limited set of operating purposes:

  • Keeping pages available and responsive
  • Passing requested searches to the correct partner
  • Understanding which Grant County resources visitors use
  • Detecting errors, abuse, and technical faults
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect user interests

Websites Beyond Our Control

Links may lead to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, Grant County Jail resources, Kansas VINE, Kansas court and corrections portals, federal locators, news outlets, or outside search tools. Once you leave this site, the destination's own privacy policy governs its collection and use of information.

Some advertising providers may use technology on their own systems to recognize activity across different websites and select interest-based ads. That cross-site processing is performed by those providers, not on Grant County Busted Mugshots systems.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may still be handled by:

  • Search partners that process submitted queries
  • Analytics vendors that measure site performance
  • Advertising networks that serve or assess ads
  • Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order

Security Has Practical Limits

Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under our control. No internet transmission, connected server, or storage method is entirely secure, however. We cannot promise that a breach, loss, or unauthorized access will never occur.

Adults Only

This site is intended for people age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a minor. If a person under 18 has submitted information, notify us through Get in Touch so a deletion request can be reviewed.

Your Privacy Choices

Depending on applicable law and the type of information involved, you may ask to:

  • Receive a copy of personal data held about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Delete personal data where the law permits
  • Opt out of certain processing activities

These choices apply to information controlled by this site. Requests about a sheriff record, Kansas court file, KASPER entry, or partner search must go to the organization that controls it. Kansas government record access is separately governed by the Kansas Open Records Act, including K.S.A. 45-218 through 45-221.

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as practices, services, or legal duties change. A revised version becomes available on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after publication means the updated notice applies.
